Grandpa and the Hooker
I'm trying to get my mother to tell "stories" from her childhood, my childhood, and other stories that I remember. I've started a new blog specifically for my mother's stories and have moved all the previous videos to that site.
This story is one I'd never heard before!

Queer Youth Awareness
There was a gathering of gay, lesbian, bigendered and transgendered students in Sacramento today. They marched to the capitol, held a rally, and then met with legislators to discuss passage of bills which will ensure that all students in California can get an education, free from fear of attack, verbal or physical.
Adults acted as chaperones, forming a barrier between the kids and the hate-mongering protestors who lined the route of the march.
This video presents a taste of what the day was like.

Let the Sunshine
My journal entry for March 19 is going to talk about Richard Brunelle, the 30+ year music teacher for Davis High School. This video is the finale of the 1988 Pops Concert. The Pops Concert was a yearly event, always a sell-out. This may not have been the best, but I liked the way it showcases how the kids feel about Dick. David and Tom were in the Jazz Choir this year.
