My great grandfather, Josiah Kirkpatrick, was apparently quite a guy, as my mother explains in this video from Thanksgiving. I was happy to have a video record of her talking about him. I don't know if my kids will appreciate it after I'm gone--but it makes me feel good (and now I know more about him as well!)It's fun for me to realize that a talent for writing has shown up in every generation of this family. I guess I come by my obsession to write naturally!
