Dakota After One Month
She may find a family this weekend. She's now been here over a month and I can't believe how fast she is growing. And all she wants to do is fight with Lizzie.
This video is an example of how refined the fighting has become...and also a taste of feeding time. (Love that Gorilla pod!)

Biscuits

Paul's Memorial #4 - "Arms of the Angel"
Audra (Paul's widow) and Marta (his sister-in-law) sang this song at the memorial. Jeri (his sister) accompanied on the piano. There wasn't a dry eye in the house.

Bob Dunning has been writing a local column about town news almost since we moved here, 30+ years ago. He had reviewed a couple of Pau's monologue shows and he gave a touching speech at the memorial.

Dakota looks for a home
Today was the day Dakota was going to be looking for a home. We took her to the Farmers' Market in the morning. It was her first Big Adventure since she got picked up 3+ weeks ago.
By the end of the day, nobody had claimed her, but there is a family that is possibly interested and we'll see how that goes.

Paul's Memorial 1 -- Tribute to Lawsuit
This is the first clip of a week of videos excerpted from Paul's memorial service, which took place 8 years ago this week. I was going to make one video compilation, but there is just too much stuff there. It was very definitely not your ordinary memorial service as you will see, if you watch any of the videos.
I'm taking this first video out of sequence. This was one of several video clips that were shown throughout the memorial, this one a tribute to the band, Lawsuit (for which Paul was the lead singer). I've always loved this clip.
The fact that this was a video of a projection shot from the back of an audience means that there are heads at the bottom of the screen...and it lends a kind of "Mystery Science Theatre 2000" look to it.

Will's Birthday
Will and his lifelong friend, John, threw themselves a "surprise" 64th birthday party (they say that when you get to be that old you can surprise yourself because you can't remember sending the invitations). Just a brief video to give the flavor of the occasion. This was held in a boat club near Giants stadium in San Francisco.
