My heart was in the right place, but my hemoglobin was not. Once again, I marched myself up to Blood Source, full of blood and ready to give it to whoever wanted it, but in order to donate blood, your hemoglobin count must be 38 and mine was only 37.5, so they have sent me home to pump iron and see if I can't boost it that extra half point so that it qualifies for donation.Don't want to give some poor needy person anemic blood, now.
What really surprised me was how nervous the tech who was testing my blood was when she found out I was taking a video of the process. If there's one thing you don't want to do it's to make the person with a needle poised over your veins nervous!
