I love this video. The quality isn't good. It was taken in 1992 on the Big Island of Hawaii, standing at South Point, the southernmost point in the United States. The wind was blowing fiercely and there was a pod of whales out in the ocean, all cavorting about. I didn't have a great zoom on the camera, and actually, I wanted to WATCH them, not film them, so I aimed the camera in their general direction and just shot footage, and hoped for the best. This was one experience I wanted to live "live."
But I'm happy with what I got and you can definitely get a feel for how much activity there was out there, even if I couldn't get "up close and personal."

Your video was fun to watch. I wouldn't be concern about the zoom. You never know where the whales would pop out of the ocean. The video shows the true perspective of standing on the beach watching the whales. Great video!
