We are starting to think about when to decide Kimba's quality of life has deteriorated to the point where it's cruel to continue to keep her alive. In the midst of the decision, I came across this video of her, taken when she was about 3 years old. It's hard to remember that she was ever this active (and this is considerably less active than when we got her 2 years before)

You've got some tough decision making ahead.
It's never easy to make a decision when it's time. One thing for sure, Kimba had a wonderful long life because she is well loved by the Sykes family. To prove it, a song was made in her honor by the family.
I know what you're going through. I've looked back on some old tapes of my dog too. Yes, it's hard to imagine that they were once so full of energy.
Btw...I loved Kimba's song!
