The Long Night
By late evening, I was beginning to be afraid that little puppy Elsie would not live through the night. I decided to record it all, however it finally ended.

I'm so sorry, Bev. It's so hard when we try to save the little ones and they still die despite all that we do. I'll never forget the baby duck that Mike and I found at the side of the road. We tried to nurse it back to health, but it died overnight.
